MAPLE-NUT BANANA SHAKE

Seriously, what’s better than super ripened bananas that have been peeled, cut into bite size pieces, frozen and ready to use in smoothies or treats like this maple nut sipper shake? They are perfect for a fast frozen treat when ice cream cravings hit as well. Blended with coconut butter or cream, nuts, seeds or their butter, cacao powder, berries or all on their own, they make a great alternative to ice cream and deliver nourishment not guilt.

TERI’S CLASSIC MARTINI
 
I love a really good martini! Yes I know, it’s a funny line for of course this is very subjective. We all have our own version of what ‘really good’ translates to in accordance to our own taste-buds.  My essential with martinis in particular– shake 50 times or more over a shaker full of ice for a shards of ice crystals cocktail. It’s the best!  You will also see a little more vermouth go into my martini yet I will make yours to order so fret not. High quality olives are a yummy addition as the salt marries so well with vodka and gin. Try your next martini my way and let me know what you think.
 
It’s a preferred cocktail for me as I am not fond of sweet drinks. Even a margarita is more on the sour side for me and a tequila martini is oh so good yet that’s a different recipe for another occasion.  Right now – give my classic a try.

TERI’S ESPANGOL SANGRIA
-the best authentic Spanish version ever

 
You are sure to love this version of sangria. It was shared with me years ago at the grand age of 19 when I was living in Montreal.  A wonderful woman working in one of the restaurants told me her secret to a true Spanish Sangria after I raved over her creation.  A tip I’ve held true to… begin to marinate the fruit the night before you plan to serve your Sangria.  It creates a wonderful lusciousness and more potency when eating the fruit and yes it is very fun to eat the fruit so use your favorites. Any of you faint of heart on alcohol you can dilute this by topping off with sparkling water yet enjoy one sip as is just to taste the depth added from marinating.

ICED CAFÉ MATCHA-CINO

There are times when coffee calls my name.   It’s the romance of it all – the smell, the ritual of grinding my organic, decaf beans and inhaling the heady aroma with sheer joy. I go through phases where I relish in the process of making and sipping coffee. It’s not the caffeine I love – it’s the bitter, bold, dark taste that has such a personality.  Perfection!
Other times, I am all over
Dandy blend.  Frothy, slightly sweet and perfect as is or with foamed non-dairy milk!   Adding Ormus greens and matcha tea is the perfect pick me up after lunch.  While going out for coffee may be fun on occasion, know you can make an equally impressive frosty latte at home. ALMOND COCONUT MILK
It's become a most popular everyday non-dairy alternative and making your own is so easy and so good and does away with all the additives. While almond milk alone is good adding some coconut flakes  or canned coconut milk to the soaked almonds makes it thicker, richer and just a wee bit better in my view.

Pass on store-bought milk just once and give this recipe a try and my sense is you may be making your own non-dairy milk most of the time.

PINK MARGARITA - TERI'S CLASSIC
w/ WATERMELON

Cocktails, Adult Beverages, Happy Hour, gluten, nut, soy, dairy free, Non-alcoholic version included. 

Gotta say I am a tequila fan.  Have been for quite some time!  No, no not shooters. I prefer to sip on a fine tequila straight up, enjoy a more casual version over ice, even as a tequila martini, and once upon a time, I enjoyed the classic tequila sunrise. Now a-days, grenadine is frightful to me.  However, as a once- upon-a-long time ago bartender and always ocean front fan, I’m enjoy a great Margarita. It must be shaken not blended and no salt for me, thanks so much. 
As for watermelon, oh yes, come summer time this fruit takes top billing in my ‘love it’ category.  The marriage of these two is heaven-made in my world.   Let me know how you feel about this ‘screams of summer’ or an ‘ocean-side vacation’ cocktail. Even if you are stuck in the city, find a place to enjoy an al fresco moment and include this cocktail in the mix. For an instant, it’s a seaside escape. Hope this cocktail becomes a fave of yours for my Spanish blood certain gravitates this way. Salud!

VANILLA n CARAMEL MALTED MACA LATTE
This yummy beverage is all about warming comfort and along with the nutrient density of using raw, organic cacao powder its super infused with added energy from the maca.  The best cafes can't come close to this!
