VANILLA n CARAMEL MALTED MACA LATTE
It is only right to have a great latte recipe up your sleeve - especially if you reside in or frequently visit colder areas. As a Canadian, the hot drinks are my saving grace when my hands need to wrap around a warming mug and  oh oh I love how the savored sips warm my entire being. Almost anyway, after all it can get quite cold in my corner of Canada.

Plus, everyone needs chocolate not matter where you live in my view and the caramel taste the maca adds makes it that much more intriguing of a latte. Once you make this I am sure you'll be hooked. Post your pictures on social media and tag me if you do venture into making this. It's such a reward to see you enjoying the recipes.

  • Makes one delish serving
INGREDIENTS
 1 tsp Maca powder
1 heaping tbsp raw cacao powder, sifted
1-2 tsp coconut or maple syrup, raw honey, Lakanto or stevia or to taste
1¼ cups unsweetened non-dairy milk
(Choose carrageenan free milk - www.cornucopia.org has a great guide)
Cinnamon, cacao powder or Sunwarrior vanilla, mocha or chocolate protein powder to garnish
 
DIRECTIONS:
  1. Mix all the ingredients in a blender for just a moment to incorporate the Maca and cacao powder thoroughly with the liquid.
  2. Pour into a small saucepan and heat over a low stove setting until mixture is warm and has just begun to become frothy. Serve in a mug and smile. 
TERI'S TIP:
  • You can make this in a frother - (I have one from Salton and I love it).  Simply warm 1 cup of the milk stove top and add the remaining ingredients into your frother, let it do its thing then pour the heated milk and the frother blend into a cup and garnish.
