With healthy lifestyle and behavior changes; anxiety, excess stress and self- sabotage dissipate. You become compelled to embrace taking care of yourself mentally, emotionally, physically, nutritionally, environmentally and spiritually.

Our power truly lies in our own thinking and our own doing.

​Our thinking influences our 
beliefs, feelings and behaviors.
Together these shape our lives.  

In order for us to thrive we must mind our mind and develop healthy every-day habits that honor our whole self... 
Mentally, emotionally, physically, nutritionally, environmentally, purposefully,  spiritually.

My life experience has posed many challenges as you'll read about below and they have enabled me to ever increase my own resilience, know the power of faith and trust and doing what I know is essential for wellness, including taking ownership of my own health journey. 

Below is a bullet like account of life incidences shared in a factual manner.
I have left the drama aside at this time for this would be a book if I shared details. One of six children living in Winnipeg, we were raised on a very limited budget. Somehow, my mom could stretch a dollar to ensure we always had the essentials. It wasn't always easy however.

A home fire hit when I was five that displaced and separated my family for several months. Living apart from my folks at just five was hellish for me.
Then another fire took my God-father Uncle Donald's life when his house burnt down. More tragedy struck not long after this when his son, my cousin Lil Don died in a car crash on the same street as that house and my Grand mothers.

Another car crash came next. I was just 27 when my parents were both killed instantly killed by a drunk driver who ran a stop sign and broadsided them, just a few blocks from their home.

A year later, my cousin and his wife (another one of my Uncle Donald's sons), died in a carbon monoxide accident in their home due to faulty wiring. Two double funerals for my family - my maternal grand-mother, bless her soul was reeling with so many losses of her own kids and grandkids.

Then tragedy hit our family again when my youngest brother Denis came home to find his wife Donna had committed suicide. It was only 4 months later when my nephew Cory, their son, died of a drug overdose with Denis once again being the one to first find him. His wife and son gone, and his parents, just like that.
 
This pressure didn't let up. Denis' twin, our brother Danny died of a heart attack one year later almost to the very day. Worst, it didn't have to happen for Danny had made several trips to see his doctor. Sadly this doctor missed all the classic signs and sent him home diagnosing indigestion. Danny didn't make it through the night and died on his coach that night. More heart-break and what became 'dreaded' phone calls for my siblings, relatives and I.

At 40, a fraud artist's scheme caused my husband, son and I to give up our home and deal with bankruptcy. It was a hellish experience for us and it  dragged on for a few years. We gave our all to move forward however a few years later, sadly my marriage ended devastating us all. We had intended to be a forever couple. 

In the mid-2000's I faced yet another challenge when diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's leukemia. It was will strong intention, dedicated self-wellness healing practices (guided by MD and studied as an ND Dr. Coombs), ever increased nutritional attention, natural healing protocols, energy medicine sessions, and stress management to recover. (Conventional treatments were not of interest to me for I trusted my body could heal given the right conditions and it did.)

All of this to say, it's been an extremely rocky ride through life yet with the grace and faith in God, I have always  managed to find my way through it all. This and constant everyday efforts and family/friends and community connection.
It's possible for us all. Yes, this includes you. May you know this, live this!

Look closely, and lovingly, and you will see it. There is an innate and elegant beauty in even the most ordinary of things. Learn to love that beauty, and to let it be, and your eyes will be opened to wondrous possibilities.

There always is a quiet yet unyielding peace, upon which rests all that is. The more often you reach in and touch this peace the more fully you experience its power. Anything that is negative, deceptive or destructive eventually  obliterates itself.

When you are authentic, peaceful and creative, when you need nothing other than to simply be, you have every beautiful, wonderful and miraculous thing there is.

Life's richness is never more than a single thought away. Breathe in deeply the beauty, the wonder, the miracle that is now.  Know the joy that cannot ever fade. Live life in love.
