This is one of those recipes you will wish you’d been making a long time ago once you realize how easy it is
Wraps are my go-to pizza crust and of course they are just perfect for tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and quesadillas. Usually I buy them yet making them myself is my preference for I can control exactly what goes into them and adding herbs and spices makes the most perfect wraps ever in my view. You really must try these for yourself.

CREAMY CHIMICHURRI SAUCE
 
This flavor intense, nutrient dense blend is a beauty. The herb and spice combo is powerful.  Pair it with sautéed, grilled or roasted foods or use in place of mayo, mustard or cheese. Use it as a dip for fries or thin with broth or wine and marinate tofu, tempeh mushrooms or eggplant yet keep some to serve on the side. It's perfect for Buddha Bowls and a favorite sauce of mine. So, so good!

AMAZING GARLIC SCAPE PESTO
 
You are about to fall in love with this bonus gift from the almighty garlic bulb. So unassuming, these curly stems that crop up from the leafy stems of your growing garlic are just perfect for making pesto! The subtle garlic taste makes for a deliciously mild take on the classic basil pesto and pairing with nut oil adds a fabulous richness. The thick consistency is ideal for pizza, grilled veggies and filling eggplant rolls or sandwiches.  For pasta, thin it with some of the pasta cooking water or non-dairy crème such as Belsoy.

CRISPY COCONUT CRUNCH

Sometimes the best creations come about from an inspiration prompted by something else. Ha ha – that’s all creation I suspect. There I was, eating, just baked granola straight off the baking pan.
I found myself seeking out the ribbons of coconut, all toasted and coated with oats, (or almond meal), flax and cinnamon. It was so addictive this recipe was born and it’s bliss. Best – it is easy to make. I mean EASY!

SAVORY CASHEW CRÈME
 
As a condiment queen addicted to sauces and dips, having a basic non-dairy alternative to mayo, sour cream and yogurt of cheese sauce was essential.  Hence a recipe creation was in order and I feel I nailed it.
This basic savory cashew crème can be used in recipes in place of the traditional dairy offerings and is great as-is as well as enhanced to vary the flavor.

SUNBUTTER n CHIPOTLE KALE CHIPS

Chip-lovers behold a simple marrying of super ingredients to create a most delish and crispy chip out of a leafy green. Oh sure, kale chips have been around for a while now yet this impromptu creation is sure to take front and center stage for you. It will even impress those doubting a veggie chip can taste great.
I’ve enjoyed some creative kitchen play with a new addition to the Maison Orphee coconut oil line – flavor infused coconut oils and aired it with another fave ingredient SunButter for an all-dressed version of kale chips.

BEAUTIFUL BASIL PESTO
 
Hail basil, one of the most beloved herbs by so many of us.  Oh yes, I am one of them, talk to me about pesto! Plus there are so many ways to make it and this version is a tasty take on traditional pesto infused with a trifecta of omega 3’s to help combat inflammation. Enjoy this sassy sauce with your favorite alkaline protein option such as Portobello mushrooms filled with French lentils, and served over a bed of sautéed greens.

ROASTED PEPPER SAUCE – for pasta, pizza and tacos
 
Oh how I adore roasted sweet bell peppers and they make for a perfect sauce when pureed with garlic, herbs, a little olive oil and sea salt.  It’s all that’s needed for an ever-so-yummy, eat it straight out of the blender creation.  Enjoy with pasta, polenta, on pizza, flatbread, over roasted veggies or raw – veggie noodles of zucchini, squash, sweet potatoes and carrot, with tacos and even as a dipping sauce. I find it's best used immediately. If you have extras be sure to warm before serving.

CASHEW CACAO CLUSTERS 

This recipe was inspired during the holiday season while creating a Christmas care package for my son (and my own desire for full, taste explosions of flavor that just happen to pack healthy power). Every year I aim to come up with a few indulgent treats that mark the holidays and this year cashews and cacao nibs have been an addiction for me so I made a double batch of these.  Some for gifts, as well as some to serve at a party yet… I have been into it almost daily so I will be making more.

Salty, sweet, savory, and crunchy… it’s a wow combo and this recipe, with only 6 ingredients is super easy to make!  Appeasing all of our senses, it is so very seductive, satisfying and oh so sensible for it helps to abate cravings.  If you crave salty and crunchy this is your snack. It even sates those craving sugar with the hint of maple sweetness.  Make a double batch and share with your bacon loving friends to intro them into the tasty world of plant-strong eating. All too often there is the misconception we health conscious eaters are deprived and I love to shift that paradigm so join me and lets put that myth to pasture with the happy hogs.

SUPER SIMPLE SUNBUTTER SATAY SAUCE

​This is a sure fire ‘go-to’ win them all over recipe in my home as well as at workshops and cooking classes.  Besides being oh-so-easy to make and ever so versatile it is wonderfully flavor packed and adapts well to accommodate many of the prevailing dietary specifics.   I love it with Asian salad rolls, kebobs – be it veggie, seafood or meat; it is great over greens or noodle salad or with BBQ’d or grilled meats/seafood/veggies and stuffed into lettuce leaf tacos.  Make a double batch for this sauce keeps at least a week with all the ginger, garlic and spices it boasts.  Let me know your favorite way to use it.

Cheese!  It's a favorite food for so many and when considering eating a plant-based diet most say, "But I can't give up cheese!"  Rest assured, you don't have to.  There are numerous store-bough options available and its easy to make your own.  Check out your locale health food grocers and farmers markets for numerous artisan vegan cheese options -  some are truly outstanding yet  pricey. Make your own for this creamy, cashew ricotta is yummy.
