INGREDIENTS
1 cup canned organic coconut milk
2 heaping tbsp organic cacao powder, sifted if needed
1 cup organic, espresso strength coffee or Dandy Blend
2 tbsp high quality dark organic chocolate
2 oz maple syrup, or to taste
1-2 oz dark spiced rum or brandy, optional
Coconut whipped cream
GARNISH: Cacao powder, ground coffee, cinnamon, if desired.

INGREDIENTS
1 cup canned organic coconut milk
2 heaping tbsp organic cacao powder, sifted if needed
1 cup organic, espresso strength coffee or Dandy Blend
2 tbsp high quality dark organic chocolate
2 oz maple syrup, or to taste
1-2 oz dark spiced rum or brandy, optional
Coconut whipped cream
GARNISH: Cacao powder, ground coffee, cinnamon, if desired.
DIRECTIONS
- Whisk the coconut milk and cacao powder together and heat in small pot over medium heat. Once it’s almost at a simmer, reduce heat to low and stir in the chopped chocolate pieces to melt.
- When melted remove from heat, stir in the hot coffee and rum or brandy if using.
- Pour into pretty glasses, top with coconut whipped cream and sprinkle with desired garnishes. Now resist the urge to rush through this treat – it’s a perfect fire side sipper.
