The Woodland Awakenings |Laura Moses
Laura is a horticulturist, retreat leader, and nature-based wellness guide who created The Woodland Awakenings as a sanctuary for women seeking something more - more connection, more meaning, more presence.
Specializing in experiences that speak directly to the hearts of midlife women, Laura blends silvotherapy (forest healing), nature art, plant medicine, and soul-deep sisterhood to help others reconnect with their most authentic selves. Her retreats are not just about rest—they’re about remembering who you are beneath the noise.
Her signature multi-day retreat, happening this September, offers a carefully crafted container for transformation. Through guided rituals, creative expression, and immersive time in nature, women are given space to breathe, to feel, and to grow. It’s a return to self, in a setting that feels both sacred and wildly alive.
Beyond the retreat, Laura travels throughout Ontario offering nature-inspired workshops that include everything from terrarium building and herbal wellness to wreath-making and animal connection events. Each gathering is designed to foster community, creativity, and a renewed sense of wonder.
Whether in the forest or at a local venue, Laura’s work offers something we’re all craving—real connection, rooted in nature and guided by heart.

ADVENTURE PHOTOGRAPHY | LeeAnn Fitzgibbon
Everything outdoors makes LeeAnn happy including winter and spending time in Algonquin Provincial Park photographing what nature has to offer. An outdoors's girl who loves connecting with nature, people comment about how much energy she has and laugh when hearing she heads out at four in the morning to take pictures, Working with children and young adults with special needs for the majority of my life has taught her to make the most of every moment, to eat dessert first, and treasure the little things life has to offer. Her career has taught her to cherish the accomplishments and hurdles, no matter how small they may be and she looks through the lens the same way, cherishing the little things, and celebrating every individual in a unique way.
