SIMPLE SWEET NUT CREME

The best breakfast bowls are made with a variety of 'components' to layer for taste and textures. I like to have items on hand such as soaked chia seeds, various fruits, something crunchy such as granola and something creamy like this Sweet Nut Crème made from nut or seed butter.
INGREDIENTS:
½ cup your favorite nut or seed butter
Approx. ½ - 2/3 cup non-dairy milk of your choice
Honey, maple syrup, coconut sugar or soaked and pureed dates, to taste

INGREDIENTS:
½ cup your favorite nut or seed butter
Approx. ½ - 2/3 cup non-dairy milk of your choice
Honey, maple syrup, coconut sugar or soaked and pureed dates, to taste
DIRECTIONS:
- Mix all the ingredients together in a mason jar or glass bowl beginning with the smaller amount of liquid and a minimum amount of sweetener. The consistency and sweetness of the butter you use impacts this. Taste and adjust sweetness and consistency as desired, creating a slightly sweet, pourable sauce.
- Store in the refrigerator. Your crème will keep approximately 5 days.
TERI'S TIPS:
- Add spices such as cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, ginger powder or cacao, maca or mesquite powder for a flavor forward crème. It's a great way to enhance satiety and enhance nutrient density.
- Like extra richness? Add a few heaping tsp of coconut cream from canned coconut milk or cream or a tbsp melted coconut oil.
