BREAKFAST TORTE - tahini, molasses, cacao, and cinnamon crunch
There is a familiar, ‘Oh Henry’ bar memory that comes to mind with this thick, syrupy combo of tahini and molasses paired together over a toasted Ezekiel English Muffin and smothered in an avalanche sized snow storm of sesame seeds or cacao nibs and cinnamon. Can you tell I am just a little crazy over this combo! My body seems to crave it when the temps are cooler, and my innate wisdom is in need of a healthy serving of iron, calcium, magnesium, manganese and potassium.
Sure, it may seem a mite off the wall extreme of me always aiming to eat foods that are nutrient dense yet given I do love eating, its preferable for me to ‘consume’ my essential nutrients via food whenever possible and augment with supplements only as needed. My recipe creations focus on infusing as much fun, flavor and nutritional power as I can into delicious foods. Try this and tell me if you don’t feel more energized and perhaps a little more invincible given all the nourishment. Best is, it’s just delicious and so, so easy to make.

TERI’S TIP:
- For a more authentic ‘Oh Henry’ taste, switch up the cinnamon for raw cacao powder and the sesame seeds for toasted and chopped organic peanuts. It’s pretty darn yummy too.
- Make sweet potato toast by roasting sweet potatoes until just barely done, cool, slice and toast slices as needed.
- In a hurry? Make it on a tortilla wrap, roll it up and go.
