TART GREEN APPLE GOODNESS
This green beauty of a smoothie has fabulous sass with the addition of lime juice and a nice twist with a spike with ginger and nutmeg. Besides tasting great, it’s a fabulous as a diuretic, helps with cancer prevention, reduces inflammation and may help lower cholesterol and blood pressure.
INGREDIENTS:
2/3 - 1 cup coconut milk or coconut water
Juice from 1 lime
1 medium green apple, chopped
2 stalks celery, chopped
½ cup kale
¼ medium avocado
2 tbsp chia seeds, soaked
1 tsp fresh ginger root, chopped
Tiny pinch sea salt and a generous grind of nutmeg
1-2 dates, for added sweetness if needed
½ cup ice cubes, optional
GARNISH – fresh fruit, coconut, SunButter, raw cacao nibs, my fave

- Serves 1 generously
INGREDIENTS:

- Measure all of the ingredients into your blender. Blast away until creamy then stop and add additional liquid as needed.
