Clients and students of mine have mournfully confessed they are addicted to cheese. They don't want to be yet it's out of their control they say. I get it, truly I do. The high fat, salty and creamy or sharp, raw or old cheese creations are designed to be additive. And if you've read the book by Michael Moss, Salt, Sugar, Fat you can attest to it not being 'your fault. Blame or lack there of aside, what can you do about this addictive that is wreaking havoc on your health?
Well I have some answers and better still, all kinds of options for you.

Cows milk and dairy products made with cows milk (along with sheep and goat) can be a major source of gut disrupt along with skin and respiratory conditions and challenges. The solution, look for plant-based options – ideally artisan non-dairy cheeses (locale brands if that’s an option). There is a growing offering of truly outstanding, whole food, gourmet faux-mange cheeses. I’ve included some brands below and also added some links to recipes of my own for DIY options. 😊

Cashews take the lead in many non-dairy cheese creations, yet you can sub in macadamia nuts, soaked and peeled almonds, and Brazil nuts. All work well for non-dairy milk as well.
