Low carb diets come and go quite regularly under the guise of different names with different 'expert's selling you their version of a quick weight loss diet. You may know them as the Atkin's Diet; the South Beach Diet, the Zone and so on with today's main focus on Low-Carb Diets and the infamous Keto Diet.
Today, thanks to the news targeted for me I found this suggested headline:
Doctors Finally Constructed a Hierarchy of Healthy Low-Carbohydrate Diets
and I was lured to click on it. This first paragraph hooked me into the full read.
"A 2018 study published in The Lancet has finally developed the low-carb diet hierarchy the world has been waiting for.
Now I know for some of you, this may be an instant turn off if you are getting results on a low to no-carb diet. Keeping the big picture in mind: whole-self-health and quality longevity you may want to reconsider and spend just a few minutes to read this for one author describes it as:
“the most comprehensive study of carbohydrate intake done to date,”
Factor in that Walter Willett, Ph.D., professor of Epidemiology and Nutrition at Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health is a co-author and it's a 25 year long study of 15,000 people. I'd say it's info to rely on.
With my main intention of inspiring and enabling optimal whole-self-health for us all, information like this is a gold mine in my view. You'll gain clarity on the best dietary approach and discover extremes aren't great for any of us. It ties in perfectly to my "it's not all or nothing" philosophy and workshop on the lean into plant-strong eating. You can join me for this workshop August 8th 2020 with the
DCAC virtual conference or book me for your own event by reaching out to me directly.
